Yvette Hugill studied Graphic Design at the National Art School in Sydney, Australia and ​later worked as a book designer for a leading publishing house.

Relocating to country NSW she studied Painting and Drawing through the Tamworth Campus of TAFE where she attained Distinctions in each course.

She uses a variety of media, including oil, pastel, acrylic, coloured pencil and ink. Whilst the majority of her work is the landscape, she also enjoys still life and figurative subjects. Yvette held Master Pastellist status with the Australian Pastel Society for a number of years before leaving the society.​

She has exhibited regularly and widely since 1988 and has won numerous awards with her work now held in private, corporate and civic collections in Australia, Japan, Finland, China, United Kingdom and U.S.A.

​Yvette now lives in Wingham, on the Mid North Coast of NSW
